About the Department

          The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2008 with intake of 60 students. The department has good infrastructural facilitates and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories such as Electrical Machines lab, Micro controller Lab, Control systems lab, Power electronics lab, lab, Power System Simulation lab, Relay and High Voltage Lab. Faculty members in the department having vast experience in their field.  The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students, with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, conferences, symposia and refresher courses to keep in pace with recent developments in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The department conducts workshops, seminars, conferences and invites lecturers to keep the students and staff updated with the latest developments. The department also encourages students to interact with people from the industries.

Students are given education as well as training in order to get placed in reputed Industries. The teaching faculty is active in conducting research and the publications in National/International conference proceedings/Journals are encouraged. As a part of the curriculum, Industrial visits are arranged for BE students in III, V and VII semester.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.

 Career Prospects:

Studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering will lead to potential careers in the Power industry, Robotics, Process industry and Bio-engineering. Career opportunities are also found in the Telecommunication industry, Mining and Transport sector, Computer industry, transmission industries and small innovative private specialists.
